New 2027 Hyundai Azera Specs, Redesign, Pictures –  High-quality Adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and automatic high-beam assist are among the technological upgrades available for limited models. The 3.3-liter V-6 engine with 293 horsepower and a six-speed automated transmission has enough power to move the front-wheel-drive Azera. On average, it gave us 23 mpg during our tests.  New 2027 Hyundai Azera Specs

Exterior and Interior

The 2027 Azera is a two-row, subcompact crossover with seating for five. As expected in a vehicle this size, the rear seat is a tight squeeze for three adults, and cargo space is limited to 18.7 cubic feet. The Azera can hold 31.9 cubic feet of cargo with the rear set folded. Although more versatile than a sedan, the Azera behaves more like a hatchback than a crossover when it comes to carrying cargo.New 2026 Hyundai Azera Interior.

The Azera’s tidy dimensions pay off in tight spaces. The exterior measures 158 inches long, 70 inches wide, and 62 inches high. The relatively tall body permits good headroom in all positions, which makes the interior feel larger than it is.

The infotainment system for the SE includes an 8-inch touchscreen, six speakers HD radio, two front USB ports, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The SEL comes with two rear USB ports, and the Limited adds navigation, satellite radio, and wireless charging. Curiously, the Limited loses wireless smartphone integration, so a USB cord is needed to connect.  New 2027 Hyundai Azera SpecsNew 2027 Hyundai Azera Reviews

Engine and Performance

A continuously variable transmission (CVT) sends power to the front wheels. Power is near the bottom of this class, and there’s no available engine upgrade. Unlike most crossovers, the Azera doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.  New 2027 Hyundai Azera SpecsNew 2027 Hyundai Azera Specs

Behind that aggressively dark abyss of a grille sits a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder making 276 hp and 289 lb-ft of torque. It’s the same engine out of the Veloster N, albeit making 29 lb-ft more torque to go with a whopping one extra horsepower. There is a smidge of turbo lag if you go looking for it, but the front-wheel-drive Azera generally pulls well.

New 2027 Hyundai Azera Fuel Economy

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) rated the manual Azera at 10.9 L/100 kilometre in the city, 7.7 along the highway, and 9.4 overall when comparing combined-to-combined statistics, which was a little increase over the Veloster N and the leaving Civic Type R. The Azera did better than anticipated during testing, recording 9.3 L/100 kilometers after over seven hundred miles, just like those two. For the amount of fun available here, that’s a respectable figure.

For reference, the automatic Azera is notably thirstier, with ratings of 12.1 L/100 km in the city, 7.9 on the highway, and 10.2 combined. Premium fuel is recommended regardless of transmission.   New 2027 Hyundai Azera Specs

New 2027 Hyundai Azera Safety Features

The 2027 Azera might be small, but it packs plenty of driver assistance features. Standard equipment includes lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, automatic high beams, and a rear occupant alert. The SEL and Limited also carry blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control isn’t available on the Azera yet.  New 2027 Hyundai Azera Specs

New 2027 Hyundai Azera Price and Release Date

Not only is the Azera (relatively) economical to fuel but it’s very reasonably priced. Per this manual tester’s price sheet, this car starts at $37,199. The only other decision buyers have to make beyond transmission is colour, and there aren’t any other real options or trim levels to mull over, so adding $200 for the Performance Blue paint, $100 A/C tax, and the non-negotiable $1,725 destination charge, this exact car came out to $39,224 before tax.

Not only is the Azera better to drive, has a nicer interior with more modern tech, and boasts real back seats compared to its Veloster N sibling, but it’s $700 cheaper. It’s also significantly less expensive than its competitors from outside of the Hyundai family. Volkswagen, for example, commands at least $46,000 before any options or fees for the Golf R.    New 2027 Hyundai Azera Specs
