It’s a compact crossover with a cheap price and a little engine, thus its fuel efficiency is poor. During a very cold week, I drove short distances and idled the car to defrost the large front glass. As a result, my personal average was 8.0 L/100 km, which was better than expected. You won’t get a new one for less, and although choosing the lowest price means getting a manual and sacrificing some of the safety gear, well-equipped vehicles like my Trend tester won’t add much to your monthly payment. As cars become more pricey, low-cost options such as this Santa, which does everything the huge crossovers do but has a smaller, easier-to-manage footprint, appear to be a better alternative.
The Santa is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a crossover vehicle that features a boxy appearance, an upright posture, and a higher driving position. It is also incredibly well-equipped with large car comforts. In the end, buyers on a budget will find that a more conventional hatchback, such as Hyundai’s Accent, offers the same amenities at a lower cost, with greater room and better fuel efficiency.
